How to use the Abingdon Health Allergy Test Kits
CONTENTS OF PACKAGE
1 x sealed aluminium pouch contains the following:
- 1 x instructions for use
- 1 x alcohol swab
- 1 x test device & 1 dessicant bag
- 1 x transparent plastic bag containing a pipette for blood collection
- 1 x vial with dropper containing diluent
- 2 x sterile lancet for pricking finger and collecting blood sample
- Wash and dry hands thoroughly using warm water.
- Use alcohol wipe to disinfect the tip of the selected finger.
- Empty contents of pouch before collecting blood sample.
- Massage the intended finger from the palm of your hand to the tip of the finger, in an upward motion to coax the blood circulation for a better blood sample.
- Use the sterile lancet to prick the meaty tip of the intended finger.
- Use the pipette to gently collect a sufficient sample of blood from the tip of the pricked finger.
- Deposit a sufficient sample of blood into the well of the test device.
- Add 2 drops of the diluent into the well of the test device (on top of the blood sample).
- Wait for 5 minutes.
- Read the result.
- 1 line = a negative result which indicates no allergies.
- 2 lines = a positive result which indicates an allergy is present within the blood sample.
