How to use of FlowFlex COVID-19 Antigen Rapid self-test - 25 multi-pack
This pack contains:
1 x Instructions for use
25 x Individually sealed aluminium test cassette with dessicant bag
25 x Individually sealed sterile swab
25 x Tube containing buffer solution
25 x Waste bag
1 x Tube holder
1. Begin by carefully reading the instruction leaflet including step-by-step illustrations on how to take the test.
2. Ensure hands are properly washed and thoroughly dry.
3. Remove a buffer solution, insert vertically into one of the holes in the tube holder and peel back the aluminium foil, ready to insert the swab.
4. Tilt your head back and push the swab less than 2.5 cm from the edge of the nostril cavity.
5. Rotate the swab gently 5 times to collect a sample of mucus.
6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 for the other nostril.
7. Place the swab into the buffer solution for 30 seconds and squeeze the sides of the tube to ensure the swab mixes well with the solution.
8. After 30 seconds, squeeze tube one last time to ensure there is little to no fluid left within the absorbent tip.
9. Dispose of the swab in the waste bag provided.
10. Firmly attach the dropper to the top of the buffer solution tube and squeeze 4 drops into the cassette well.
11. Wait anywhere between 15 – 30 minutes to get a reading.
How to read the results:
– 1 line on the control panel marked C = a negative test (no COVID-19 present in the nasal sample
– 2 lines on the control panel marked C and T = a positive test (COVID-19 is present within the nasal sample)
– 1 line on the control panel marked T = an invalid test caused by an insufficient swab amount placed into the cassette well, or an incorrect nasal swab procedure, or something else. The test should be repeated using a new nasal swab and test cassette.
